Cn. Plancius, 55 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 4.07 g, 5 h), Rome. CN•PLANCIVS / AED•CVR•S•C Female head (Diana Planciana or Macedonia?) to right, wearing causia, pendant earring and necklace. Rev. Cretan goat standing right; behind, bow and quiver. Babelon (Plancia) 1. Crawford 432/1. RBW 1541. Sydenham 933. A beautiful piece, perfectly centered on excellent silver and with wonderful old collection toning. Light deposits on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
